A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Kevin A. Murray, Esq.
Greetings:
As President of the Thurgood Marshall School of Law Alumni Association, I welcome you to our Third Annual Legacy Ball.
The mission of Thurgood Marshall School of Law ("TMSL") is to prepare a distinguished group of students for leadership roles in the legal profession, business, and government. TMSL also provides students with opportunities to expand their skills in leadership, research, and service. For 79 years, TMSL has been a catalyst for courageous conversations and a champion of equality, access, and opportunity, reflecting the values and ideals of our namesake, Justice Thurgood Marshall.
As a community of change agents, TMSL has empowered the disenfranchised and underserved by preparing lawyers to practice law and shape social and public policy. In addition, our faculty is a community of accomplished scholars, innovative thinkers, and dedicated educators who emphasize teaching excellence and produce legal scholarship that enriches the legal profession while addressing a broad range of legal issues and perspectives.
The mission of the Thurgood Law Alumni Association is to support the alumni and students of TMSL through five distinct areas: alumni and external relations, fundraising and giving, continuing legal education (CLE), alumni communications, and encouraging student scholarship. The purpose of the Thurgood Law Alumni Association is to engage and inform more than 4,000 living alumni throughout the world, enhance their opportunities, and promote their continued success.
The Legacy Ball was established to honor the history, excellence, and enduring impact of our institution while serving as the premier fundraiser that empowers the Thurgood Law Alumni Association to advance its mission and support future generations of leaders.
We are confident that you will have an amazing time this evening. Once again, welcome to our Legacy Ball.
Thank You for Your Support!
